Balancing Your Life using Mother Nature- Part 5/6

Only two more parts left to finish our series. In case you need the refresher, here are parts one, two, three, and four.

The sun sits very far North at midnight, on the other side of the earth. Birds are sleeping soundly, and hopefully we humans are too. 

It is Winter where the days are shorter and the nights cooler, or cold depending upon where you live. People spend more time indoors with less light. Maybe even sleeping more. Seeds of plants lie dormant in the ground, saving energy until the new season.

The energy of this time is dormancy and integration of what happened previously. In this state, you have ended one day yet not begun another. It’s a time of rest in order to be prepared for the next day, the next season, the next stage of life.

Do you make sure you get the rest you need as best you can? I know as a woman this time of Winter can be challenging if you’ve got small kids or going through hormonal changes or other issues that keep you or get you up at night. Is your energy aligned with this down time?
