October. When hurricanes swirl. When the temperatures cool down. When the light in the sky lessens each day. And when Mother Nature turns on the heat. A lot is going on in our country and the world right now. A LOT. And honestly, it has been waring. I don’t know about you but I’m weary.
Which is why I’m so grateful for nature this time of year. She turns on the color as she so majestically sheds leaves preparing for the next season.
You can put whatever meaning you want to this time of year. Some people love it because it means the return of cooler temperatures and some people hate it because it means the return of cooler temperatures.
But I don’t know of a single person that doesn’t enjoy the absolutely stunning color party that comes every fall. You don’t need to do a thing but enjoy the various shades and hews of orange, yellow, red, and purple. Be grateful if you have the sight to see and experience it.
Be thankful we still have trees preparing to shut down for winter. For the beauty they bring, the oxygen they supply, and for being a huge part of the entire cycle of life.
Many of those leaves will be gone soon, so enjoy them while you can this next few weeks. You won’t get a show like this for another year.
