There’s past time, present time, and future time. In the world of quantum physics, there is no time at all.
But for those of us who are human, we live our life through time.
One of my favorite coaches who specializes in money, Meadow Devor, recently shared some words of wisdom about time. She said,
“Nothing can take your time. It isn’t yours. It’s just time. You don’t own it. It’s neutral”.
What I get out of this is powerful.
It just happens.
What you do with it is totally up to you.
So this begs the question, are you spending this time doing something important to you?
Or actually loving what you are doing?
If you aren’t using time in that manner, why not?
Time is going to pass. Period. It is your decision as to what you will do with it.
If you aren’t happy with what you are doing, change either what you are doing, or decide to bring all of who you are and what you value to the task.
Many people are just happy to have a job in this economy and say to me, “but I don’t really enjoy what I do and there isn’t another more fun job that I can just jump on over to”. They feel trapped. The great news is they are only trapped in their mind.
I tell them to bring all of who they are into their jobs. Bring what they value into their jobs. And do their job using their strengths, personality, and what’s important to them. You can create the experience you have at work.
As I talked about last week, change is the only constant in life, and while what is happening now is what is happening now, it’s up to you to create your own experience. Opportunities for other jobs will come up in the future. That is the nature of change.
Time is neutral. It isn’t yours. You don’t own it.
You do however get to decide how you want to spend, use, and enjoy it.
What are you doing with time?
Next week, I’ll be adding a new free gift to my website where I’ll share my best 10 tips for getting more done in less time.
**(Hint)** My best tip has already been talked about here.
